Filling in my eyebrows is only something that I have added to my beauty routine this year. I never understood why people chose to fill in their eyebrows, as eyebrows were never really something that I took that much notice of - or so I thought, but now I have a completely different view. If you have great eyebrows they will be the first thing I pick out to compliment you on, although it is a bit of an odd compliment, credit where credit is due!
Now, I have tried my fair share of eyebrow pencils, fillers, gels etc. but my all-time favourite product has to be E.L.F.'s eyebrow kit.
This kit contains one eyebrow gel (step 1) and one eyebrow powder (step 2), and only set me back £3.75! I use the double-ended brush that came with the kit, as it performs perfectly for me. I don't like long-handled brushes as I find them harder to control, so the short accompanying brush is perfect for my use.
This is the condition of my natural eyebrows. I have never had them professionally waxed/shaped/threaded (although I'm looking into it), and simply pluck them on a weekly basis with stainless steel tweezers.
This is the same eyebrow after only using the two products inside E.L.F.'s eyebrow kit. In my opinion, I feel that the products provide a lot more shape (depending on how you use the angled gel brush) and make a massive difference colour-wise. The sparse, fine eyebrows are gone, and now give the illusion of thicker brows, without looking artificial. This is achieved from the very fine powder; by gradually building the colour up, you can easily avoid the obviously drawn on look that some people fall prey to. The gel will also keep your brows in place all day - no more stray hairs!
What's your opinion on the E.L.F. eyebrow kit? Do you have a different favourite eyebrow product?
i used to think exactly the same thing about my eyebrows, but ever since i got the hdbrows set in glossybox i have been obsessed with eyebrows!! haha x
ReplyDeleteI've read so mush about the hd brow kit, after this one runs out I'm going to try that one :)
DeleteYou have really cute brows! I think the same thing, ever since i started caring about brows, i judge everyones brows ahah :)
ReplyDeleteSophierosehearts, currently having an 100 follower giveaway :) x
Thanks! I'm completely the same lol, they're one of the first things I notice now!
DeleteI'm still the same - I'm 25 and never do anything to my brows haha. I'm making it my aim this month to get a brow kit - this one looks great and is a mega bargain too! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for a starter kit definitely try this out, and you're not wasting a fortune if you don't like it :)
DeleteReally cool post! My eyebrows are the last step that I added to my daily makeup routine within the past year, but now I find myself not being able to go out if I do not have my eyebrows filled in! It really does make a HUGE difference! :)

Yep, I never thought it would be such a priority in my make up routine!
DeleteI'm thinking about getting this, what shade is the one you're wearing? :)
ReplyDeleteThis one is in shade medium, I'm very dark haired so I was going to get the dark but as it was all sold out I settled for this and it's a great colour match!
DeleteWhat shade do you have this in? :)
ReplyDeleteMedium :)
DeleteThis kit looks the same at the benefit one, but at a fraction of the price! Have you tried the benefit browzing? I wonder how they compare? I have tried a few e.l.f products, and have noticed a few of them are very similar to benefit products...
ReplyDeleteGreat post :) X
I've not tried the Benefit one, maybe I'll get it as a higher end replacement for this one when I get a bit more cash though - thanks for the tip!
DeleteYour eyebrows come out amazing! I need to learn how to do this for myself. Great post. x
